Scott Surovell is running scared. After the recent shock poll from Harper Polling, he hired known Internet troll Ben Tribbett for his campaign team. Tribbett has quite a reputation and I’m actually very confused as to why Delegate Surovell would align himself with someone of his low caliber. He was hired by the Washington Redskins to defend them against the onslaught of protests against the team’s nickname. He resigned after some distasteful tweets of his (which are still live today) on his Twitter account (@notlarrysabato) reared their ugly heads:
We are officially 98 days away from Election Day so the campaigns are chugging full steam ahead into November. Virginia’s 36th senate district is heating up and while Scott Surovell is on vacation, Jerry Foreman is working hard and gaining momentum.
We are just a few short days from what has got to be one of the biggest Republican firehouse primaries in recent memory here in Prince William County with six nominations being decided on Saturday, April 25: Clerk of Court, Sheriff, Chairman of the Board of County Supervisors, Coles District Supervisor, Occoquan District Supervisor, and Woodbridge District Supervisor. I reached out to all twelve candidates running for these positions and asked them to provide me with a brief 1-2 sentence statement on why you, the voters, should choose them to be the Republican nominee on Saturday. I got some excellent responses!
